Records of the Rotary Foundation of Indianapolis, Inc., include bylaws, financial documents, and correspondence. Artifacts in the collection include a bowling trophy from the 1920s, and a flag of the Republic of Taiwan (circa 1959). Photographs include portraits of Rotary presidents, executives and members, members participating in community service projects and recreational activities.

The Rotary Club of Indianapolis was founded in 1913as a social club for businessmen. Early activities included a Tuesday luncheon meeting, social outings, and sports. During World War I the club changed its focus to community service, maintaining a recreation hall for soldiers. Douglas Corrigan (1907-1995) was an American pilot during the twentieth century. Corrigan was born in Galveston, Texas and learned to fly in California. He was a member of the crew that built "The Spirit of St. Louis", the airplane in which Charles Lindbergh made his solo transatlantic flight in 1927.
